*Good. Principle.
Iris didn’t know what these letters stood for until 2010. And yes, as a child, she grew up in Compton, California.
Iris had to move from her apartment and eventually found herself back… at the Compton family house.
While staring out the large dining room window and rubbing both his hands together, he solemnly said to her, “I feel sorry for you.”
Puzzled Iris replied, “Sorry for me!? For what?!”
“Why do you feel sorry for me!?” as she said in a confident tone. He went on to say, “Because…” “Because of what…?!” Iris strongly wanted to know. “Because you’ve never had _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ on G. P.” Iris asked, “What’s G. P.?” Surprisingly he responded, “You don’t know what G. P. is??” She replied, “No. What’s G. P.?” “Have you ever heard of G. P.?” he asked her. Iris said, “No.” He couldn’t believe it. He answered, “G. P. is slang for Good. Principle. You’ve never had _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ just on G. P.”
Iris reflected over her life. She pondered the truth in his words. He was right. She had never _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _.
